The top two seeds, Pocola and Whitesboro, advanced to the winner’s bracket finals of the LeFlore County fast pitch softball Tournament with wins Monday.
The two teams will meet at 8 p.m. Tuesday in Panama. Play will then move to Thursday for the final day.
Both teams received a first-round bye. Pocola defeated LeFlore, 8-0, and Wister, also 8-0.
Second-seeded Whitesboro opened with an 11-0 win over Panama. Before defeating third-seeded Howe, 5-0.
In loser’s bracket games Tuesday, at Spiro, Spiro plays LeFlore at 2 p.m. and Poteau plays Talihina at 4 p.m.
In games at Panama at 4 p.m., Cameron takes on Panama and Heavener drew Arkoma.
The Talihina/Poteau winner and Spiro/LeFlore winners play at 6 p.m. at Spiro. Howe plays the winner at 8 p.m.
The Cameron/Panama and Heavener and Arkoma winners face off at 6 p.m. Wister plays the winner at 8 p.m.
In first-round games, LeFlore beat Cameron, 7-1, Wister blanked Arkoma, 20-0, Heavener shelled Talihina, 16-0. And Panama swamped Spiro, 13-1.
In second-round games, Pocola and Whitesboro won their games while Wister knocked off fourth-seeded Poteau, 7-3, and Howe overcame Heavener, 2-0.
