HARTFORD—The Heavener Wolf Pups’ fifth and sixth-grade team stayed undefeated on the season with a 38-0 win at Hartford on Saturday.
The Wolf Pups improve to 6-0 on the season going into Saturday’s game at Mena. The third and fourth-grade team did not play.

HEAVENER–Friends of Heavener Runestone will hold their Viking/Celtic Festival on Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. to raise funds for operation of the park. The festival will provide great entertainment for only $5 per carload.

Members of the Heavener Fire Department, police department and EMT’s visited My Friend’s School Daycare and Preschool Center on Thursday morning.
The emergency services visited in honor of Fire Prevention Week. The children were able to see and explore a fire truck, a police SUV and an ambulance.
The Heavener High School track around the football field has now been lined and the numbers have been put down.
Heavener’s next home game is Oct. 16 at Harvey Stadium against Roland. Ed Wilson, Heavener superintendent, said the track is now open for use.
