Gennean Marie (Lillard) Green, 51, of the Reichert community was born July 25, 1967 in Poteau to John “Doc” and Trudy (Nobles) Lillard and passed away Dec. 2, 2018 at her residence.
Funeral service is Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bob Cherry and Rev. Clyde Hess officiating.
Burial will follow in the Reichert Cemetery, under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener.
Gennean was a long-time resident of the area, a 1985 graduate of LeFlore High School, a 1987 graduate of Carl Albert State College, and a member of the Heart O’ The Hills Baptist Church. Gennean was the Activity/Social Service Director at the Vista Nursing Home in Heavener for many years and worked as a Security Guard at O.K. Foods. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. Gennean will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Surviving family members are her husband of 33 years, Bill Green, of the home; one step-daughter, Joyce Wren, of Poteau; three sisters Nina Fry of the Reichert community, Reta Vincent of the Hontubby community and Anita Lillard of Heavener; one brother, Olen Fry, of Heavener; four grandchildren; special friends Tonya Sutton of the Reichert community and Cori Holloway of Howe; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Lester Fry and Jerry Lillard.
Pallbearers are Mark Dehart, Jerry Brown, Zach McGee, Jason Carson, Brandon Brainerd and Steven Cauthen. Honorary pallbearer is James Sutton.
Viewing is Tuesday from noon until 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
