Talihina’s girls snapped a five-game losing streak and improved to 3-0 against Heavener this season with a 47-35 win Thursday night in Black Diamond Conference play.
Talihina’s boys completed the sweep with a 96-61 rout in the nightcap.
For the Lady Tigers (12-9), Ashley Robinson had 17 points and Shay Hill finished with 13. Heavener (9-10) was led by Sydney Crase with 11 points and Emily Yandell scored 10.
The sixth-ranked Golden Tigers were on a pace to score 100 points through the first three quarters before emptying their bench in the final quarter. Kobe Billy led Talihina (15-5) with 18 points, Kariim Byrd scored 16, Nick McLemore added 13 and Austin Fenton finished with 11.
Braxton Sullivan scored 15 points to lead the Wolves (6-12), Connor Place had 12 and Jacob Hill finished with 10.
Talihina plays Cashion Saturday at Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee at 6 p.m. Heavener returns to conference play Tuesday at Pocola.
