HARTSHORNE—Talihina’s boys grabbed a big lead early to win while Hartshorne’s girls wrapped up a perfect regular season with a victory over the Lady Tigers Monday.
The Golden Tigers jumped ahead 23-14 and held on to improve to 18-5. Kariim Byrd led Talihina with 18 points and Kobe Billy added 17.
Hartshorne (19-4) was led by Easton James’ 18 points while Ethan Edwards had 15 and Dre Lujano scored 11.
Hartshorne’s girls improved to 23-0 with a 42-21 win over Talihina (13-11).
Hartshorne has a bye in the 3A district tournament while both Talihina teams play Saturday for district championships against the Wister/Coalgate winners.
