SHAWNEE—Talihina and Cashion split their games at Oklahoma Baptist University on Saturday.
The second-ranked Cashion girls defeated Talihina, 66-41, in the opener before Talihina’s boys dominated the final three quarters in a 65-47 win.
Cashion’s girls improve to 20-2 while the Lady Tigers drop to 12-9. Talihina trailed by only eight points with four minutes to play before Cashion put the game away.
Melina Ludlow led Talihina with 18 points while Hailey McClain added 10. Sydney Manning scored 26 points for Cashion.
After trailing by a point at the end of the first quarter, sixth-ranked Talihina’s boys outscored Cashion 52-34 over the final three quarters.
Talihina (16-5) was led by Austin Fenton with 17 points, Dylan Blair and Kariim Byrd both had 14. Cashion drops to 12-9.
Talihina goes to Hartshorne Tuesday.
