The county’s unemployment rate for November was 5.2 percent, down from 5.7 percent in October and 5.8 percent in November. Last year, LeFlore County’s unemployment percentage was 6.5 percent for the month.
The county had a work force of 19,781 for the month with 18,753 employed and 1,028 out of work. For October, the figures showed a work force of 19,688 with 18,575 employed and 1,113 out of work.
McIntosh County had the highest rate in the state at 7.0 percent, Latimer County was second at 6.7 percent and Okmulgee County was third at 5.7 percent.
Cimarron County had the lowest rate in the state at 2.0 percent.
