Further Investigation into the threat to shoot students at the Heavener High School on Friday has led to the identification of a suspect.
The suspect is a student in the Heavener Public School System and has confessed to writing the threat as a prank.
Charges will be sent to juvenile services for prosecution. The Heavener Police Department appreciates the cooperation and assistance of the Heavener Public School system, and Federal Forestry Law Enforcement.
As the suspect is a juvenile there will be no further release of information about the incident by the Heavener Police Department. Due to the threat, few students attended school on Friday after word got out about the threat.
Howe Public Schools had a similar threat with the student turned over to juvenile services.
