Dylan Roberts zoomed to the top of the LCJ/Ledger Panel Picks for Week 5, snapping Troy Dyer’s streak at three weeks.
Roberts went 9-2, one game ahead of Michael White, Jerry Pitchford and Dusty Alexander. Dryer was 7-4 and Mark Caldwell went 6-5.
Overall, Dryer’s lead was down to one game over White, who is 44-18. Roberts is third at 41-21, Pitchford is 39-23, Alexander is 38-24 and Caldwell was 35-27.
“I expected this to happen,” Roberts didn’t actually say. “Dyer got lucky for a few weeks and then went to the middle of the pack, where he deserves to be.
“I’ve been getting ready to make a run. I knew Dyer couldn’t keep up the pace with all the stress. The foundation is starting to crack and I’m starting to peak. I’m like the iceberg to his Titanic.”
Each week our Panel picks games involving LeFlore County high schools, OU, OSU, Tulsa, Arkansas and a national game of the week.
