PERKINS—Poteau stayed alive in the 4A regional fast-pitch softball tournament with a 6-0 win over Inola Friday afternoon.
The Lady Pirates dropped the opening game of the tournament to Perkins-Tryon, 14-0. Poteau plays Sequoyah-Claremore at noon Saturday with the winner taking on Perkins-Tryon.
Kylie Turner went the distance to get the win over Inola. She pitched 7.0 innings, allowing four hits while striking out two.
Jill Cochran was 2-4 with a run while Lexi Wood went 2-4 with two runs and Tori Morgan doubled while going 1-2.
In the opener, Perkins-Tryon jumped ahead 11-0 after two innings and took advantage of four Poteau errors. Coatney Riggs had the Lady Pirates’ only hit.
