McALESTER—The Hodgen girls went 4-0 to win the O.R.E.S. state fast-pitch softball championship here on Saturday.
The Lady Bulldogs defeated Dalilonegah, 4-3, to win the championship. Earlier, Hodgen defeated Rocky Mountain, 4-1, in the winner’s bracket finals.
In the second round, Hodgen downed Dalilonegah, 6-5, after two international tiebreakers. The Lady Bulldogs defeated Cotton Wood, 3-1, in the opening game of the tournament.
The team is coached by Melody Dunigan and Dustin Hall.
