FAIRLAND—Howe bounced back from an earlier loss to Fairland to take the championship game in the 2A fast-pitch softball regional here on Friday.
The Lady Lions made their reservation to the 2A state tournament with a 6-4 win over Fairland in the championship game as Sydnie Womack drove in all six runs for Howe.
Makaleah Lewis improved to 10-2 with the win. Womack was 3-4 with two doubles and the six RBI. Jalei Oglesby finished 2-3 with three runs, Justyn Lynn doubled and was 2-4 while Loren Ford-Rogers had a 2-3 outing with a pair of runs scored.
In the early game Friday, Fairland stayed alive with an 8-5 win over Howe.
Oglesby doubled twice and went 3-4 with two runs and a RBI, Womack doubled and was 2-3 with a run and a RBI and Lynn also doubled while going 2-4 with a RBI.
Abby Davidson took the loss for Howe.
The OSSAA will announce the state tournament brackets on Monday.
