CHOUTEAU—Heavener won all three games at the Chouteau Tournament on Thursday to improve to 12-4.
Heavener blanked all three opponents and Makenzie Wilson threw a no-hitter in the last two games against Cave Springs and Oaks.
The Lady Wolves defeated Tahlequah Sequoyah’s JV, 4-0, Cave Springs, 12-0, and Oaks, 8-0.
In the win over Tahlequah Sequoyah’s JV, Makenzie Wilson threw a shutout, giving up three hits while striking out seven.
Emily Yandell went 3-3 with a double, RBI and run and Makaylee Wilson doubled and was 2-3 with a run while Makenzie Wilson hit a triple in a 1-3 game with a RBI and a run.
Heavener battered Cave Springs for 12 hits in the thre-inning contest while Makenzie Wilson tossed a no-hitter.
She struck out four while allowing no hits and helped her cause by going 2-3 with two triples, three RBI and two runs. Yandell also tripled two and was 2-3 with three runs and two RBI, Sydney Crase knocked in a pair of runs in a 1-3 game, Shelby Smith doubled and tripled while going 2-2 with a pair of runs scored, Rilegh Pate doubled twice and was 2-3 with two runs and two RBI, Abbi Moody was 1-2 with a double, one run and a RBI and Morgan Alexander finished 2-2 with a run.
In the final game, Moody was 2-2 with a RBI and run while Makaylee Wilson homered and was 1-2 with three RBI and a run while Makenzie Wilson tripled and was 1-2 with two RBI and two runs. Makenzie Wilson also threw a no-hitter against Oaks.
The ninth-ranked Lady Wolves finish play in the tournament on Saturday against an opponent to be determined.
