The Lady Wolves went 4-0 in the tournament, defeating Sequoyah Tahlequah’s JV, Cave Springs and Oaks on Thursday before blanking Oktaha’s JV, 6-0, on Saturday as Makenzie Wilson threw a 1-hitter.
Heavener scored two runs in the first inning before adding four runs in the fifth to finish off the game.
Emily Yandell homered and doubled while going 3-3 with two RBI and a run. Wilson was 2-3 with a run and a RBI while Abbi Moody was 2-3 with a run, Morgan Alexander was 1-3 with a run and a RBI and Kylee Free was 1-3 with two RBI.
Wilson went the distance, striking out 11 while allowing the one hit.
The ninth-ranked Lady Wolves improved to 13-4 going into Monday’s games at Vian against the Lady Wolverines and Sequoyah Tahlequah.
