BOKOSHE—A 50-year-old Bokoshe man died as the result of an auto accident Saturday on Twilight Road, two miles south of Highway 9 and 3.2 miles north of Bokoshe.
Rodney Tackett of Bokoshe was driving a 2001 Ford Taurus southbound when he failed to negotiate a curve, departed the roadway to the right, struck a culvert and then hit a communication cabinet with the rear of the vehicle.
He was pronounced dead at the scene from injuries sustained in the collision.
The accident is under investigation by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Seat belts were not in use at the time of the accident.
The accident was investigated by Trooper Matthew Dyer, who was assisted by Trooper Ryan Williams along with the Bokoshe Police Department and Bokoshe Fire Department.
