US-259 will be narrowed to one lane with a signal light directing traffic just south of the SH-63 junction (Big Cedar) from 8 a.m. Thursday through January 2018 for a bridge widening project.
Trucks cannot travel north through the work zone and should locate an alternate route.
This project will widen the US-259 bridge at Big Cedar to two-lanes with shoulders as part of a $12.4 million contract awarded to C-Gawf Construction, Inc. in September 2015 to perform work on five bridges in LeFlore and McCurtain Counties.
