Sales tax revenue was down for LeFlore County and 10 of the 13 communities in the May report by the Oklahoma Tax Commission.

LeFlore County showed a drop of $192.09 from May of 2016. The latest total for the county was $566,530.25 compared to $566,722.34 last year for the same time frame.
Heavener showed the largest drop of county communities, decreasing from $69,000.07 in May of 2016 to $62,241.61. Spiro also showed a big decrease, going down $4,256.08 and Talihina’s total dropped $3,091.31.
Poteau had the biggest increase, going from $432,379.42 to $438,741.21, an increase of $6,361.79.
