HOT SPRINGS, Ark.– Ouachita National Forest officials announced today the temporary closure of the Choctaw Office in Hodgen due to mold discovered in the air conditioning vent systems.
Testing on the mold is scheduled for today, with results available next week.
“To insure safety for all employees and the public, access to the Choctaw Office will be limited to mold inspection teams and mold cleaning crews,” said Shawn Cochran, Deputy Ouachita National Forest Supervisor. “Once we get the results of those tests, we will determine the best course of action for cleaning the ventilation systems and office.”
During the testing and clean up, Forest Service employees working at Choctaw office will work temporarily in other Forest Service offices located in the surrounding area.
The public can contact the Hochatown Office in Broken Bow for information at (580) 494-6402.
