KEOTA—A Panama man was injured in an auto accident on Highway 9 near Keota on Wednesday at around 11 p.m.
Phillip Harris, 68, of Panama was driving a 2008 Dodge truck when he attempted to pass a dump truck driven by Michael Coble of Keota.
Coble attempted to turn left into a private drive, striking the passenger side of Harris’ truck. The truck rolled two times, ejecting Harris from his truck.
He was transported to Sparks Hospital in Fort Smith, Ark., where he is listed in stable condition with internal trunk injuries.
Coble was not injured in the accident.
Neither driver was wearing seatbelts. The airbag in Harris’ truck did not deploy.
