STILWELL—Heavener’s boys finished fourth in the Stilwell Soccer Tournament on Thursday, losing to Miami, 1-0, in the third-place game.
The Wolves opened with a 4-0 win over Westville as Abraham Castillo scored a pair of goals, Leonel Gavina and Ruben Rodriguez each had a goal while Michael Gomez and Mario Diaz had assists.
Tulsa Rogers then downed Heavener, 4-0, in the semifinals before the Wolves lost to Miami.
Heavener’s girls opened with a 1-0 loss to Fort Gibson before losing to Westville’s JV, 2-1, in a shootout.
The match ended in a 1-1 tie as Haley Cripps scored the Lady Wolves’ lone goal.
Heavener hosts Wagoner in the district opener on Tuesday.
