PRYOR—The Poteau boys finished second at the Pryor Invitational Golf Tournament on Thursday and Cody Shore tied for second.
Over the 36-hold tournament, the Pirates shot 313 on the front 18 holes before improving by nine strokes over the final 18 to finish at 304.
Shore tied for the medalist honors with Nick Pierce from Sallisaw. Shore shot a 71-72 for a 143. Pierce defeated Shore on the first playoff hole.
Poteau’s Ryan Ward finished fourth by carding a 72-75 for a 147 finish.
Also, the Pirates’ Bryson Terry shot a 157 (81-76), Bryce Weldon turned in a 170 (89-81) while Jerry Loggains had a 185 (94-91)
