OKTAHA—Pocola’s girls went 2-0 at the Class 4A regional here on Thursday and clinch a bid to the state slow-pitch softball tournament next week.
The Lady Indians downed Oktaha, 6-4, in the regional championship game after Pocola defeated Wyandotte, 6-5, in the opener.
In the championship game Sammie Kuhns blasted a three-run home run in the first inning to give Pocola the lead for good.
Madison Hudkins was 2-3 with a RBI and run scored with a double while Courtney Hargrove finished 2-3 with a run.
Against Wyandotte, Pocola trailed 3-0 before scoring six runs in the bottom of the third inning.
Macae Pipkins had a double and three RBI while going 2-3, Desi Carter went 2-3 with a RBI and run scored and Keelie Glory also doubled and went 2-2 with a run scored.
Pocola’s opponent, time and location will be announced by the OSSAA on Monday.
