BUFFALO VALLEY—LeFlore splits its two games Thursday in the Class B regional baseball tournament.
The Savages opened with a 3-2 win over Buffalo Valley before losing 10-0 to seventh-ranked Boswell in the winner’s bracket finals.
Leflore (13-10) will play Caney at 4 p.m. on Friday with the winner playing Boswell at 6 p.m. The if-game will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
LeFlore and Buffalo Valley had to go to extra innings in the first game. In the bottom of the eighth inning with one out and the bases loaded, Travis White laid down a suicide-squeeze bunt which allowed Cody Crase to score the winning run.
Crase was the winning pitcher, going the final three innings and striking out five. David Morris started and struck out seven over the first five innings.
Blake Crase had a double and was 2-3 to lead LeFlore’s hitting attack. Dawson Warren went 1-4 with a double and a run scored, Morris doubled and was 1-2 and scored a run, Cody Crase scored once and was 1-3 while Mason Warren and J.P. Johnson were both 1-3.
Against Boswell, Johnson had LeFlore’s only hit.
