CROWDER—Crowder stayed alive in the Class A regional tournament with a 9-7 win over Cameron on Friday.
The win means the two teams play again on Saturday at 1 p.m. with a berth in the state tournament on the line.
Cameron downed Crowder and Okay on Thursday to move within a win of the state tournament, before falling on Friday.
The Yellowjackets took an early 3-0 lead on Blasé Lomon’s three-run home run in the first inning before Crowder took the lead with a run in the second and three in the third.
Cameron regained the lead with two runs in the top of the fifth with Crowder answering with a pair of runs in the bottom half of the frame. The Jackets added two more in the top of the sixth before Crowder rallied for three in the bottom of the inning to take the lead for good.
Dillon Jackson went the distance for Cameron, allowing 11 hits while striking out six.
