WHITESBORO—Whitesboro swept a pair of slow-pitch softball games over Kinta on Thursday.
The Lady Bulldogs won the first game, 12-0, and completed the sweep with a 9-0 victory in the second contest.
In the opener, Whitesboro jumped out to a 8-0 lead in the first inning, added three more runs in the second and one in the third.
Lauren Harper was 3-3 to lead the Lady Bulldogs with two RBI and two runs, Breanna Gibson slammed a double and was 1-2 with a RBI and two runs, Amanda Carver went 1-2 with a RBI and run, Hope Sisemore had a RBI and was 1-2, Lexey Branscum knocked in three runs in a 1-3 game with a run scored, Mariah Frederick and Molly Young each had a hit and scored a run, Emily Wall brought in three runs and scored twice, Abigail Phillips scored once and had a RBI while Bailee McConnell scored a run.
Harper was the winning pitcher.
In the nightcap, Whitesboro scored once in the first, three times in the second, three more in the third and twice in the fourth.
Phillips had a double and was 2-2 with a RBI and run scored, Branscum went 2-3 with two RBI and scored once, Carver had a 1-2 game with a RBI and run, McConnell hit a double and was 1-2 with a run scored, Frederick went 1-3 with a RBI and scored once, Harper knocked in a run and scored once while going 1-3, Young finished 1-3 with a run, Wall had a triple, two RBI and scored a run and was 1-3, Gibson knocked in a run and was 1-3 while Roxane Merle scored a run.
Gibson was the winning pitcher.
