BATTIEST—Whitesboro went 2-1 in the Battiest Tournament on Saturday and finished in fourth place.
The Lady Bulldogs defeated Wright City, 10-7, edged Buffalo Valley, 2-1, and lost to Heavener, 17-4.
In the win over Wright City, Whitesboro scored four times in the third inning and six in the fifth. Wright City countered with a single run in the first and the third, two in the fifth and three times in the sixth.
Abigail Phillips was 2-3 with a pair of RBI, Lexey Branscum had a double, knocked in a run and scored a run while going 2-4, Emily Wall went 1-3 with a double, two RBI and a run scored, Hope Sisemore was 1-3 with a RBI, Amanda Carver scored a run and was 1-3, Molly Young scored twice, had a RBI and was 1-4,
Mariah Frederick, Breanna Gibson and Lauren Harper all had a RBI and scored a run, Bailee McConnell scored twice and Harper was the winning pitcher.
Against Buffalo Valley, Whitesboro scored twice while Buffalo Valley scored a run in the third.
Frederick was 2-3, Phillips and Harper were both 2-3 and scored a run, Sisemore was 1-3 with a RBI, Carver went 1-3 with a RBI, Gibson finished 1-3 and Harper was the winning pitcher.
In the loss to Heavener, Whitesboro scored a run in the first and three times in the third.
Frederick was 2-2 with two RBI and a run scored, Gibson and Phillips were both 1-2 with a RBI, Branscum and Young were both 1-2 with a run scored while McConnell scored a run.
Gibson was handed the loss.
Branscum was named to the all-tournament team.
