STIGLER—Gary Price knocked in five runs and Poteau snapped a two-game losing streak with a 8-3 win at Stigler on Thursday.
Price doubled and went 2-4 for the Pirates as Poteau improves to 10-4.
Ben Klutts was 3-4 with a home run in the seventh and also got the win on the mound for the Pirates. He pitched the first five innings, allowing only four hits while striking out four. Brynn Hammond finished up for Poteau, striking out three and allowing two hits in two innings.
Mason Grimm also had a big game for Poteau at the plate, going 3-4 with two runs scored. Kade McMillin scored three times and finished 2-4.
