KEOTA—Heavener won a pair of games on Tuesday, including a 9-4 victory of Red Oak, one of the Lady Wolves’ biggest wins over the last few years.
Red Oak is a perennial power and is currently ranked No. 1 in Class B.
But Heavener, which moved up to fifth in 5A this week, came from behind to knock off the Lady Eagles, getting a big lift from the bottom half of the lineup as eight of the nine runs came from the fifth spot down.
Red Oak took a 2-0 lead in the fifth inning and added a run each in the fourth and sixth inning. Heavener scored a pair of runs in the fourth, four runs in the fifth and three more in the sixth to clinch the victory.
Jacee Manley scored twice for Heavener, now 10-1.
Heavener added a 14-0 win over Keota in its second game of the day. Jodie Hill, Lakota Vickers and Erica Lemay each scored a pair of runs for Heavener.
