IDABEL—Jordan Terry went 6-6 on the day as Heavener swept a pair of games over Valliant and Idabel on Thursday.
The Wolves downed Valliant in the opener, 10-1, then ran past Idabel in the second contest, 12-2. The wins were Heavener’s fifth straight and improve the Wolves’ record to 9-4 heading into Friday’s home game with Keota at noon.
Terry was 2-2 with three runs scored and a pair of RBI in the opening win. Corry Duncan was the winning pitcher, striking out four and allowing two hits in 3.2 innings.
Dillion May and Ashton Wright provided the relief. Grant Shipman was 2-3 with two runs and a RBI while Connor Place doubled and was 2-4 with two RBI and a run scored. The Wolves scored four times in the second, and three runs each in the third and fourth inning.
In the win over Idabel, Terry was 4-4 with two runs scored and a RBI. Trey Grubbs hit a pair of doubles and was 2-2 with a RBI and two runs scored. Hunter Tiffee had a 2-3 game while Dillan Stallings knocked in four runs and Duncan was 2-2 with two RBI and a run scored.
May went the distance to pick up the win. He struck out six while allowing only four hits.
