BOKCHITO—Heavener split a pair of slow-pitch softball games with Hugo and Rock Creek here on Friday.
The fifth-ranked Lady Wolves lost to No. 13 Hugo, 5-3, in the opener before blasting Rock Creek, the No. 8-ranked team in 3A, 11-0, in the second game.
Heavener could only manage three hits in the opener and scored a single run in the first, fourth and sixth innings.
The second game was a different story. The Lady Wolves jumped ahead 4-0 in the first inning, added three more in the fourth and four in the fifth to complete the run-rule win.
Elyssa Turner was 3-3 with two runs scored and a RBI while Makayla Cheek and Mattison Place both knocked in a pair of runs. Kendra Davis had a 2-3 game with a pair of runs scored while Jodie Hill was 1-3 with two RBI and two runs scored.
Heavener is now 12-2 on the season and goes to Crowder on Monday to take on Crowder and Kiowa. The Lady Wolves return home on Tuesday to play Talihina.
