Defending champion Heavener got the top seed for the slow-pitch softball LeFlore County Tournament, which starts Monday at Poteau.
The Lady Wolves are 14-2 on the season and ranked fifth in Class 5A. Heavener won the slow-pitch LCT last spring and also captured the fast-pitch tournament in the fall.
Pocola, which finished second to Heavener last year, was given the second seed while Wister was third and Whitesboro fourth.
Spiro got the fifth seed followed by Poteau at sixth. LeFlore came in seventh with Howe eighth and Panama ninth.
Cameron was 10th followed by Arkoma at 11th, Talihina was 12th and Bokoshe is 13th.
The top three seeds get a bye for the first round. Opening-round matchups feature Howe vs. Panama, Spiro taking on Talihina, Bokoshe against Whitesboro, LeFlore facing off with Cameron and Poteau vs. Arkoma.
Heavener plays the Howe and Panama winner in the second round. Wister gets the Poteau and Arkoma winner while Pocola meets the LeFlore and Cameron winner. Also, the Bokoshe and Whitesboro winner plays the Spiro and Talihina victor.
Brackets should be out within the next couple of days with times. They will be posted at that time.
