WILBURTON–Whitesboro split a pair of games at Wilburton Monday, losing 6-0 to Spiro then defeating Wilburton 9-1.
In the opener, Spiro scored five runs in the third and one in the fourth while holding Whitesboro scoreless.
For Whitesboro, Mariah Frederick was 2-3 while Molly Young, Amanda Carver and Hope Sisemore each had a hit. Lauren Harper was the losing pitcher.
Whitesboro scored twice in the first inning, once in the second, three times in the fourth and three runs in the seventh against Wilburton.
Wilburton got its only run in the seventh inning.
Breanna Gibson had a big game for Whitesboro by going 3-5 with two doubles, three RBI and two runs, Frederick was 2-4 with a RBI, Abigail Phillips doubled and was 2-4 with a RBI, Carver scored two runs and was 1-2, Lexey Branscum knocked in two runs and scored twice and was 2-5, Harper went 1-4 with a RBI, Young was 1-3 with a run scored, Bailee McConnell had a RBI and scored a run, Hope Sisemore also scored a run.
Harper was the winning pitcher.
