WHITESBORO—Whitesboro and Howe each defeated Arkoma in a slow-pitch softball game on Tuesday.
Whitesboro blanked Arkoma in the first game, 8-0. In the final game of the night, the Lady Bulldogs led over Howe 4-0 after three innings before the game was postponed due to stormy weather.
Howe defeated Arkoma in the middle game of the day 5-4 as Lauren Ford went 2-3 with a triple and three RBI.
Against Arkoma, Whitesboro scored three times in the first, added four more in the fourth and finished the run-rule with a run in the sixth inning.
Mariah Frederick was 3-4 with a RBI and run scored to lead Whitesboro. Amanda Carver and Shania McKosky were each 2-3 with a run scored, Lexey Branscum had a double, two RBI and scored three times while going 1-2, Abigail Phillips went 1-4, knocked in two runs and scored a run, Emily Wall scored once and was 1-3, Molly Young and Bailee McConnell each had a hit, Breanna Gibson knocked in a run and scored once while Lauren Harper added a RBI.
Gibson was the winning pitcher.
