POCOLA—Heavener broke the game open by scoring seven runs in the seventh inning of a 10-2 win over Pocola on Friday.
The Wolves held a 3-2 lead going into the inning before the rally put Pocola away for good.
Dillion May went the distance for Heavener, now 5-4. Kyler Helms was the losing pitching for Pocola. May struck out seven while allowing only eight hits.
Noah Davis hit a double and was 2-3 with a run scored and two RBI. May also had two RBI for the Wolves. Corry Duncan had a 2-3 game with a run scored and a RBI, Hunter Tiffee was 2-5 with two RBI and a run scored, Trey Grubbs knocked in a pair of runs and had a hit, Dillan Stallings had a hit, scored a run and had a RBI, Grant Shipman also knocked in a run, scored once and had a hit and Connor Place was 1-4 with a run scored and a RBI.
Drew Minks was 2-3 for the Indians and Brit Ozeroglu was 2-4.
Heavener is at Haileyville and Pocola visits Oktaha on Monday.
