Shae Duane McLaughlin, 27, of Heavener passed away on Feb. 6, 2015 in Hontubby. He was born Dec. 1, 1987 in Talihina to Davy McLaughlin and Ronda (Binns) McLaughlin, was a 2006 graduate of Heavener High School, a pipefitter and worked in construction.
Funeral services are Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel in Heavener with Rev. Brian McLaughlin and Bro. Sam Dyer officiating. Burial will follow at the Oakland Cemetery in Poteau under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Tate and Charlene McLaughlin; maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Linda Binns; and a aunt, Lisa Parham.
He is survived by a son, Hudson Cole of Poteau; his parents; a sister, Kayla Wickware and husband Jason of Poteau; a brother Dustin McLaughlin of Heavener; paternal grandmother, Queta Hamner of Howe; aunts, Kim Brown and Kevin Atkins of Heavener and Lisa Fowler of Howe; uncles, Danny McLaughlin of Panama, Brian McLaughlin of Poteau and Jeff Hamner of Howe; nephews, Camryn and Caston Wickware of Poteau.
Viewing is Monday from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Josh Cockburn, Pete Dehart, Brad Simmons, Kent Thomas, Preston Mattox and Mark West.
