MONROE–James Larry Thomas, 66, of Monroe passed away Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015 in Monroe. He was born March 25, 1948 in Waldron, Ark. to James Henry and Madine Vivian (Duncan) Thomas and worked at Baldor Electric for 40 years.
Graveside services are Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Monroe Cemetery with Paul Williams officiating, under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard; mother-in-law, Beulah Miller; and grandchildren, Aiden and Kimber Burns.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Shirley Jane (Miller) of the home; daughters, Jeannie and Dewayne Hayden of Paris, Ark., Kim and Marcus Burns of West Fork, Ark., Jamie and Dean Williamson of El Dorado, Ark., and (special daughter) Angie and Darren Bodnar of Booneville, Ark.; sisters, Linda Cutlip of Richmond, Ky., and Pat Deason; brothers, Albert Thomas of Hackett, Ark., Robert Thomas, Lloyd Thomas, Mitchell Rose, Billy Rose, and devoted brother, John and Lynda Wilson; and grandchildren, Ashley Bolton, Emily Burns, Anthony Burns, Kadie Williamson, Zakk Bodnar, Brodie Bodnar and Abbie Bodnar; other relatives, loved ones and friends.
Pallbearers are his sons-in-law and friends Dewayne Hayden, Marcus Burns, Dean Williamson, John Wilson, Don Shores and Terry Jones.
The family will be at the funeral home Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. to visit with relatives and friends.
