MONROE—Charles G. Evans, 79, of Monroe passed away Saturday, Feb. 7 2015 in Heavener. He was born Aug. 12, 1935 in Monroe to John S. and Dollie (Gregory) Evans, was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked as a ranch foreman.
Services are Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau with Rev. Jim Cook officiating. Interment will follow at the Monroe Cemetery, under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Opal Hicks and Jewell Garrett; and brothers, Carmet and Wilford Evans.
Survivors include his wife, Naomi, of the home; sons, Chuck Evans and wife Terry of Hominy, John Evans and wife Heike of Calhoun, and Doug Evans of Kiowa; five grandchildren; three great grand children ; and a sister-in-law, Hazel Evans.
The family will be at the funeral home Monday from 4 to 6 p.m. to visit with relatives and friends.
