The second annual Hungry Like the Wolf will be held on Feb. 21 in Heavener.
The event is a combination 5k/10k fun run/walk and a 2-mile walk.
It starts at Blues Park south of Heavener and ends at Daylight Donuts at 710 Hwy. 59 North. Parking is available at the start and finish and a shuttle service will be available.
Early packet pickup is available on Friday from 3 to 4 p.m. at Heavener High School.
Race times are noon for the 5k/10k run and 5k walk. Registration and packet pickup begins at 9:30 a.m. and ends at 11:30 a.m.
Entry fee is $20 per runner/walker through Feb. 13. Cost is $25 after Feb. 13. Timing is provided by Choctaw Nation PACE timing team.
All proceeds benefit the Heavener track and cross country teams.
Individual plaques will be awarded for the top three male and females overall. Medals will be awarded to the top three in each of the age groups while two-mile walk awards will be given to the top three overall only.
Entrants registered as a walker must walk to participate in the competition.
T-shirts, donuts and a goody bag will be given to the first 200 registered participants.
Following the race, donuts, fruits and drinks will be provided by Daylight Donuts and other businesses. There will also be music, awards and a raffle following the races.
There will also be a canned food drive. Anybody who donates at least five cans gets their name in the raffle for a variety of door prizes. Cans can be turned in at registration.
