The first baby born in 2015 was not your typical delivery.
LeFlore County EMS delivered a 7 pound baby boy on Sunday in the parking lot at the Heavener Post Office.
The EMS got the call Sunday at 6:38 a.m. and EMTs Jerre Cox and Anthony Gorman met the mother at the parking lot and delivered the baby.
Both the mother and baby are doing fine and have been released from the hospital.
This is the second time in three years EMS has delivered the first baby of the year as two years ago a baby was born in a bathtub in Wister.
Because of privacy regulations, the EMS cannot release the name of the mother or baby.
