POTEAU–Jack Edward Scott Jr., 45, of Poteau passed away Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014 in Poteau. He was born Dec. 15, 1969 in Fort Smith to Jack Edward Sr. and Phyllis June (Manley) Scott and was a control room operator at the AES plant, where he worked for over 20 years.
Services are Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Calhoun Baptist Church with Bro. Steve Hughes officiating. Interment will follow at the Oakland Cemetery in Poteau, under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John Pete and Alice Scott.
Survivors include his wife, Amanda (Lamb) Scott, of the home; sons, Ryan and Drew Scott of the home; parents, Jack and Phyllis Scott of Heavener; sisters, Jackie Vinson and husband Byron of Wilburton and Lindsey Hurst and husband Jim of Hodgen; brother, Pete Scott and wife Candace of Poteau; maternal grandparents, Hayward and Betty Manley of Heavener; and nine nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Pete Scott, Byron Vinson, Jim Hurst, Matt Lamb, B.J. Barnes and Mike Sanders. Honorary pallbearers are Lee Morris, Eric Hill, Mike Staley, Dean Lilley, Lane Hetherington, Ricky Welch, James Chaplin, Ed Pendergrass, Michael Smith, Chris Coyle, George Haney, James Wisdom, Greg Oechsner and Rob Spuhler.
The family will be at the funeral home Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. to visit with relatives and friends.
