HODGEN–Clinton Boyd Phipps, Sr., 87, of Hodgen passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2014 in Fort Smith. He was born Jan. 7, 1927, in Hodgen to John and Julie Ann (Ledbetter) Phipps, was a lifelong resident of the area and of the Baptist faith.
Funeral service is Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Hodgen First Baptist Church with Bruce Smith and Rev. Terry Jarrard officiating. Burial will follow in Heavener Memorial Park, under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; and two brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara, of the home; three daughters, Jo Ann Reynolds and husband Tony of El Dorado, Ark., Jean Allice Skillings and husband Chuck of Shawnee and Judy Kay Mead and husband Von of Hodgen; one son, Clinton Phipps, Jr. and wife Judy of Hodgen; five grandchildren, Joeby Reynolds and wife Danielle of El Dorado, Ark., Heather Kriegshauser and husband Derek of Heavener, Tres Phipps and wife Kayla of Battiest, Parker Skillings of Edmond and Brady Skillings of Shawnee; and four great grandchildren, Kynlee Roberts, Kason Roberts, Duncan Phipps and Kallen Kriegshaurser
