Justin Wade Strait Simmons, 21, of Heavener passed away on Nov. 18, 2014 in Tulsa. He was born Oct. 17, 1993 in Poteau to Tanya Gullick and Jamey Simmons was a life-long resident of Heavener and was of the Heavener High School Class of 2012.
Funeral service is Monday at 2 p.m. at the Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Leroy Billy officiating. Burial will follow in Heavener Memorial Park under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener.
He is survived by his fiancé, Sarai Terry, of Howe; his mother, Tanya Gullick, of Heavener; his father, Jamey Simmons, of Muse; a sister, Joni Gullick, of Heavener; maternal grandparents, Herbert and Jean Tucker of Heavener; paternal grandmother, Jeannie Thompson of Talihina; paternal grandfather, Jerry Simmons, of Wyoming; aunts and uncles, Mike and Lana Permenter, Alan and Iris Husser, Frank and Carol Mode, Jessica Wallace, Joe and Sandy Smith, Johnny and Sheila Smith, Jimmy and Jerri Tucker and Timmy Tucker; six special cousins, Taylor Frizzell, Nikki Mode, Rusty Husser, Dusty Husser, Rowdy Smith and Lisa Hetherington; and seven special friends, Stormy Winters, Dylan Roop, Clayton Shrock, Quinton McGee, Padden Hall, Colton Pace and Scotty Baken.
Pallbearers are Stormy Winters, Padden Hall, Clayton Shrock, Dylan Roop, Aaron Yeager and Chanse Frizzell. Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Tucker, Timmy Tucker, Frank Mode, Joe Smith, Johnny Smith and Alan Husser.
Viewing is from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday with family visitation from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
