McCURTAIN–Both Howe teams improved to 3-0 with blowout wins at McCurtain on Tuesday.
The Lady Lions were too much for the hosts in the opener, winning, 76-15, before Howe’s boys built a big lead early and coasted to a 56-25 win.
Howe’s girls led 28-0 after the first quarter and 54-1 at the half. Braden Dorsey led a balanced scoring attack with 14 points while Kennedi Cooper had 10, all in the second quarter.
Other scorers for the Lady Lions were Lauren Ford with nine, Chelsi Williams and Tori Johnson with eight, LuAnn Davis with seven, Brittany Wann with five, Jazmine Lopez with four, Miriam Landeros with three and Taya Kellogg with two.
Josiah Mitchell led the Howe boys with 14 points while Colten Meeks added 10. Marten Timmerman and Gaven Brown each had six points, Pedro Rojas had five, Chase Blake scored four, Stephen Smith tossed in three, Jerett Stallard, Chance Mitchell, Clayton LeFlore and Robert Trotter each scored two points.
Both Howe teams are off until the EOSC tournament during the first week of December.
