WISTER–Emma Marler, 86, of Wister passed away Nov. 10, 2014. She was born Nov. 25, 1927, in Wilburton to Leland and Anna (Dameron) Harris.
Service is Thursday at 1 p.m. at Grace Manor Memorial Chapel in Poteau with Pastor Ira M. Harris and Wayne Hoffman officiating. Interment will follow service at Ellis Chapel Cemetery, under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill; and three brothers, George, Ira and Johnny Ray Harris.
She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Paulette Covey of Wister, and Kathy Jo and Leonard Thornburg of Hodgen; grandchildren, Misty and Pete Crandell, Cody and Tina Covey, Buck and Sabrina Covey, Nikki and Billy Chitwood and step grandson Leon and Cheryl Thornburg; great grandchildren, Tyler Wilson, Maci Crandell, M’Kayd Chitwood, M’Kena Chitwood, M’Kail Chitwood, Jaelyn Covey; step great grandchildren, Tanner Crandell, Hanna Crandell and Morgan Martinez; two sisters, Betty Kruseman of Castro Valley, Calif. and Willa Divine of Burkburnette, Texas; and a brother, Ted Harris of Fanshawe.
Pallbearers are her grandsons, Cody Covey, Buck Covey, Pete Crandell, Tyler Wilson, Billy Chitwood and M’Kayd Chitwood. Honorary pallbearers are her great granddaughters Maci Crandell, M’Kena and M’Kail Chitwood and Jaelyn Covey.
