SPIRO–Electa (Jones) Triplett, 94, of Spiro passed away on Nov. 4, 2014. She was born Dec. 13, 1919 in Fort Coffee, the eldest daughter of Johnnie Jones and Ardena (Darneal) Jones and was a member of the Macedonia Church of God in Christ.
Funeral services are Saturday at 1 p.m. at Mt. Triumph Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Coffee with Elder Dennis Ray Ruff officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Coffee Cemetery, under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Spiro.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five siblings, Ida Hughes, Helen Massey, Earl, Lonnie and Henry Jones; and a son, Roy Triplett.
She is survived by six sons, Rev. Robert Clyde Triplett, Ricky Wayne Triplett, Verdie Triplett and James Triplett (Carolyn) of Fort Coffee, Otha Owens Triplett (Barbara), and Troy Triplett (Rhoda) of Covina, Calif.; five daughters, Winda Kaye (Triplett) Taylor, Betty Louise (Triplett) Stevenson and Lela Faye (Triplett) Brown of Fort Coffee, Ullies Marie (Triplett) Atchison and Palestine (Triplett) Black (Jacob) of Edmond; a brother, John Mathon Jones (Marilyn); a sister, Ethel (Jones) Harris; 26 grandchildren; and 39 great grandchildren.
Casketbearers will be her grandsons and honorary casketbearers will be Rev. Robert Clyde Triplett, James Robert Triplett, Sr., Troy Triplett, Otha Owens Triplett, Verdie Triplett and Rickey Wayne Triplett; Flower bearers will be her granddaughters.
