A pretty active week coming up in Heavener and the area.
Judgement House continues through Wednesday night at the First Baptist Church with groups from all over coming in to view the performance. This is the 10th year for Judgement House and it seems to be growing every year.
Howe and Whitesboro open their basketball seasons on Tuesday. Cameron is at Howe while Whitesboro is at Smithville. Also, Wister will try to bounce back from Saturday’s loss at Red Oak and the LeFlore teams play their first game at home against Moyers.
The third and fourth grade Wolf Pups will host Charleston on Saturday at 3 p.m. at Harvey Stadium. Gates open at 2 p.m.
The Wolf Pups defeated Ozark 20-6 in the first round of the playoffs on Saturday to stay alive. The winner of Saturday’s game advances to the championship game.
Tuesday is the general election and polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. I will be at the election office Tuesday night and give updates on the Journal’s Facebook page and Twitter feed.
Lots of important races will be decided along with state questions. Make sure you take the time to vote.
The Heavener Lions Club meets Monday at 5 p.m. at Simple Simon’s. If you have time and want to be involved with a great club, come and visit or join. They do an excellent job and are always in need of new members.
