I must apologize.
For those of you who have already got this week’s Ledger, you might have noticed that page 2 and 11 are reversed. So, once you open the paper, page 11 is where page 2 is and vice versa.
I found out about this when I had brought the papers back from the printers. Karen Toney asked if I had seen the paper. No, because we had just gotten through putting in the inserts. I was afraid there was a headline wrong or something really bad. Then, I found out about the pages being out of order.
It wasn’t as bad as I thought, but it was still a bummer. So, sorry about that. Other than that, I thought the paper turned out pretty good and hopefully you like it as well.
Next week’s Ledger is one of our biggest ones of the year. We will have the How to Cook a Turkey letters, plus Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving. We will have the biggest edition since I have been with the Ledger, so it is exciting.
This is also a great time to advertise your business or service. Give us a call at (918) 653-2425 and we will help get the word out.
I ran into my cousin Dustin Hall yesterday. He is one of the coaches at Hodgen and I asked him to send in information about his basketball games. He acted a little surprised, but I did want to put the information in the Ledger. The same goes for pretty much everybody else. If you have news or information about an event in Heavener, the area or LeFlore County, please let us know about it. If it is something you are interested in, more people will also like to know about it.
I was glad to see the weather forecast for Friday. I will be going to Talihina to cover the Golden Tigers’ playoff game with Morrison. If you remember, last year in the second round it was probably the worst conditions I have ever seen for a football game.
It was cold and raining. I watched the Poteau and Clinton game and never ventured out of the press box. There is a chance of rain for Friday, but no freezing temperatures and it should be a good night for football. Panama is also in action at Adair and we will have updates from that game on the Journal’s Facebook page.
To send in information, a letter to the editor or anything else, please send an email to [email protected], call us at (918) 653-2425 or come by the office at 507 E. First Street in Heavener. Have a good day.
