CAMERON–Charles “Sonny” Farrar, 73, of Cameron passed away Nov. 8, 2014, in Fayetteville, Ark.. He was born March 7, 1941, in Cameron to Owen and Mary “Mooneyham” Farrar, was retired from Johnson Controls, Inc. and also worked at Poorboy Livestock Auction.
Service is Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Cameron gymnasium with Pastor Travis Cook and Rev. Charles Caughern officiating. Interment will follow at the Liberty Hill Cemetery in Cameron, under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau.
He was preceded in death by his father Owen Farrar.
He is survived by his wife Mary Ruth Farrar of the home; two daughters, Connie Jane Horton, and Angie Carter and husband Mike, all of Cameron; his mother, Mary Elizabeth Farrar of Cameron; a sister, Ann Crosgrove of Seminole; four grandchildren Zachary Clain and wife Grace, Ryan Carter, Bria Horton and Lexi Carter; and one great granddaughter, Ember Mitchell.
Pallbearers are Johnny Farrar, Paul Duboise, Jerry Dunning, Jim Evans, John Woods Jr., Tim Cannon, Jessie Gibson and Billy Cook.
The family will greet friends on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, love offering be made to Cameron School, Athletic Department, P.O. Box 190, Cameron, OK 74932.
