WISTER–Dela Marie Midgley, 91, of Wister passed away Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014 in Fort Smith. She was born March 17, 1923 in Wister to Albert and Jossie (Cherry) Cummings, was a homemaker and a longtime member of the Church of God 7th Day.
Services are Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Church of God 7th Day at 606 Ryan Ave. in Wister with Chip Hinds officiating. Interment will follow at Ellis Chapel Cemetery in Wister, under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin Midgley; brother, Roy Cummings; and sister, Lillie Dame Greenwood.
Survivors include a son, Lonnie Midgley and wife Brenda of Big Cabin; three daughters, Cherrie Hunter and husband Jerry Mack of Van Alstyne, Texas, Judith Carruth of Stillwater, and Kelly Thompson and husband Lee of Wister; six grandchildren, Craig Page of Palmer, Pa., Brandon Midgley, Aaron Midgley and wife, Christine of Big Cabin, Amanda Carruth, Courtney Carruth of Stillwater and David Carruth of Denver, Colo.; two great grandchildren, Nathan and Valerie Midgley of Big Cabin; two sisters-in-law, Loretta Bullard and Margaret Donaho of Wister; and a brother-in-law, Bennie Maurice Midgley of Wister.
Pallbearers are Lamar Ford, Andy Ford, Craig Page, Brandon Midgley, Aaron Midgley and Nathan Midgley. Honorary pallbearers are Lee Thompson, Jerry Mack Hunter and David Carruth.
The family will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. to visit with relatives and friends.
